House of Comedy

House of Comedy is proud to bring you the best standups around, guaranteed for an afternoon of laughter.

Jonnie Walker will be the MC for House of Comedy's Sunday Lunch time show. Country Bumkin Jonnie, is looking forward to using a portaloo, and leaves, once again after many years away from the green fields of Sussex. He'll be introducing:

The Monks - The Monks are Kevin Moore and Yazz Fetto. They think they can lay claim to being the only Christian comedy sketch group in the UK. As such, they not only do shows in clubs, pubs and small sweaty comedy rooms but also chapels, churches and small sweaty vestries. Following the sell out success of their 2013 fringe play ‘Hallelujah House’, The Monks have put together a new sketch show called ‘The All New Ten Commandments’.

“I expected something squeaky clean but they came up with a pretty edgy skit...a rather good one.” Bruce Dessau, Beyond The Joke

“That rarest of things in comedy – a Christian sketch group.” Time Out

Shell Byron - Shell Byron has a unique and often absurd perspective on the everyday and the mundane. She is trying to trick you into agreeing with her messed up beliefs, by making you laugh.

"Scarily Talented" - Paul Smith

Mercury Heart

Mercury Heart’s brand of punchy, original garage rock is distinctly modern, but in line with a tradition that goes back through Jack White and The Black Keys to the early Kinks. The songs have been acclaimed as “original, intelligent music” (The Independent), and by Time Out as “unorthodox rock’n’roll”. Singer/Songwriter Simon says: “Each song is a journey. In every one, even if it is just three minutes long, you have to take the listener somewhere, give them a good time, show them something unexpected, and then bring them home a little changed.”
